An educational online meeting was held for third-level higher education students (postgraduates), organised by Olena Sydorovych, Director of the Education and Research Centre for Training and Certification of Higher Education Institutions and Scientific Personnel at WUNU. The event was moderated by Kazymyr Voznyi, Director of the L. Kanishchenko Library at WUNU, and Volodymyr Pastushchyn.

During the meeting, participants discussed issues of scientometrics, online representation of scientists in cyberspace, academic integrity, anti-plagiarism, and modern tools for checking scientific works. In particular, six key steps for an effective presence of researchers in cyberspace were identified. The first of these is the creation of a personal corporate email address in the university domain. Next, they discussed the creation of an affiliated profile on Google Scholar, DSpace, Orcid, and Web of Science. They also emphasised the need to submit data on their scientometric profiles to the Publication Support Centre of the L. Kanishchenko Library of WUNU.

Participants were reminded that detailed video instructions on creating profiles in ORCID, Web of Science, and DSpace are available on the YouTube channel of the L. Kanishchenko Library of WUNU. They can be viewed at: https://www.youtube.com/@librarywunu3365.

A separate part of the meeting was devoted to the principles of academic integrity, typical mistakes that can lead to its violation, as well as the capabilities of the StrikePlagiarism system used at the university to check scientific, qualification and educational texts.

Participants received practical advice on avoiding plagiarism when writing papers, fostering a culture of honesty, responsibility and respect for intellectual property.
