West Ukrainian National University is hosting an art exhibition of straw paintings by Petro Levytskyi entitled ‘Golden Fantasies.’

The event brought together students, teachers, partners and guests of the university, as the artist behind the exhibition is not only a talented painter, but also an active stakeholder of WUNU, a long-standing partner of the FFA and an alumnus of the Management of Healthcare Institutions educational programme.

Petro Levytskyi is the medical director of the Ternopil City Municipal Emergency Hospital, a master of folk art, and the first person in the Ternopil region to introduce 3D techniques for three-dimensional visualisation of straw art. His works are exhibited at national and international exhibitions, and today they have been given a new voice within the walls of the faculty with which the author has a long-standing collaboration.

Andrii Kotsur, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, welcomed the guests and presented the artist with a letter of appreciation from the university rector. He emphasised the importance of partnership and cooperation between the university and specialists in various fields, particularly those who combine managerial, medical and creative activities.

Mykhailo Shkilniak, professor of the Department of Management, Public Administration and Personnel at WUNU, also joined in the congratulations. He explained how the idea for this exhibition came about and thanked the artist for his contribution to the cultural space of the university.

In his speech, Petro Levytskyi spoke about his path in art, the symbolism of straw compositions, and the special technique of working with natural materials, which in his hands are transformed into ‘Golden Fantasies.’

The event's creative vibe was completed by a song performed by Zlata Klepach, a member of WUNU's artistic ensembles, who treated guests to a warm, melodious performance. The event was hosted by Dmytro Khudyk.

The exhibition ‘Golden Fantasies’ will be open till the end of December in Building No. 3 of West Ukrainian National University. We invite everyone to take a closer look at the works, chat with the artist, and discover the beauty of straw art.

We would like to thank Petro Levytskyi for his partnership, creative contribution, and the opportunity to join the world of his ‘Golden Fantasies.’
