WUNU holds graduation ceremony for the second group of IDPs participating in the Entrepreneurship programme
West Ukrainian National University hosted the graduation ceremony for the second group of internally displaced persons who completed the retraining and social adaptation programme in entrepreneurship as part of the TURBO project “The Universities’ Reaction to Big Obstructions: Building resilient higher education to respond and manage societal crises”. The event marked the successful conclusion of a three-month joint journey.
The hall was filled with a festive atmosphere: flowers, warm words, and smiles from adults and children alike. Three months of intensive work, learning and self-development — and now the participants are holding certificates that symbolise not only the knowledge they have gained, but also the courage to move forward, discover new opportunities, form their own ideas and bring them to life.
Graduates from the previous group joined in the celebrations. They came to support the new participants and share their experiences.
We thank each participant for their perseverance, openness and desire to bring about change.
We would like to thank our partners — Nord University (Norway) and the International Foundation for Social Adaptation — for their unwavering support, faith in people and the power of joint action.
We are not saying goodbye. We are staying close by to continue supporting, inspiring and helping.
This project received funding from the European Union (ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE) under Grant Agreement No. 101129315. The project coordinator in Ukraine was the International Foundation for Social Adaptation, whose president (Volodymyr Rubtsov) attended the ceremony. The director of the regional employment centre, Mykola Horodetskyi, the head of the NGO ‘Educational and Social Initiatives’, Roman Kulyk, and his deputy, Volodymyr Uhryn, also came to congratulate and commend the students.
