West Ukrainian National University participated in the Radio Dictation of National Unity – 2025
Today, on Ukrainian Writing and Language Day, the academic community of the West Ukrainian National University joined in the tradition of writing the Radio Dictation of National Unity.
The administration, teachers, students, and staff gathered to test their literacy skills and feel a sense of unity in their love for their native language, together with the whole of Ukraine. This year's dictation, which was broadcast live on Ukrainian radio, became a symbol of the spiritual connection between generations, respect for the Ukrainian language, and the affirmation of national identity.
Oksana Desyatnyuk, Rector of West Ukrainian National University, emphasised:
‘Writing the Radio Dictation is not just a linguistic tradition. It is a manifestation of civic-mindedness, our joint effort to preserve the Ukrainian language, which is the heart of our nation. In these difficult times, unity around language means unity around Ukraine.’
Representatives of structural units, students of all faculties, colleges and institutes of WUNU also joined the campaign, creating an atmosphere of inspiration and pride in their country.
The university continues to support cultural and educational initiatives aimed at promoting the Ukrainian language and shaping linguistic culture among young people.
