 West Ukrainian National University hosted the IV International Scientific and Practical Conference ‘Communication as a Factor of Transparency in Social Interaction. The Era of Digitalisation,’ dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the university's founding.


The aim of the event was to deepen scientific cooperation between national and international higher education institutions, representatives of state authorities and public organisations. Conference participants focused on finding the most effective communication practices in today's globalised world, developing a culture of non-violent communication and the art of negotiation in crisis situations.


Particular emphasis was placed on the impact of digital technologies on education, the development of effective communication skills in the context of digital transformation, and the role of innovation in increasing transparency, managing risks and strengthening social resilience.


During the conference, issues related to the implementation of inclusive approaches, the harmonious combination of real and virtual environments, resocialisation and psycho-emotional recovery of individuals in conditions of rapid technological change were discussed.


The conference was moderated by the Chairman of the Academic Council of WUNU, Head of the S.I. Yuriy Department of Finance Andriy Krysovatyi, Director of the Education and Research Centre for Communications Oksana Koval, and Head of the Department of Economic Cybernetics and Informatics of WUNU Lesia Buyak.


Rector Oksana Desyatnyuk addressed the audience: ‘I sincerely congratulate the participants on the opening of the IV International Scientific and Practical Conference ’Communication as a Factor of Transparency in Social Interaction. The Era of Digitalisation," an event that brings together specialists capable of shaping contemporary humanitarian discourse, thinking globally, and acting within the coordinates of a new communicative reality. Today, as the world undergoes unprecedented transformations, effective communication becomes the foundation of trust, openness and democracy in society. It is the key to transparency in management processes, social consolidation and strengthening civic unity. In the age of digitalisation, when information flows are becoming limitless and technologies are becoming super-powerful, it is especially important to preserve the humanistic dimension of communication, the culture of dialogue and the responsibility of the word.'

The conference programme covered five scientific and practical platforms, each of which presented important aspects of modern communication in the era of digitalisation. The first platform was devoted to the topic ‘International partnership in wartime: digital diplomacy, artificial intelligence and trust in global interaction’. The second was ‘The dynamics of communication and negotiations in a world of conflict.’ The third was ‘Digital technologies and artificial intelligence in education: innovations and prospects.’ The fourth was ‘Financial stability in the era of digitalisation: transparency, innovation and risk management through effective interaction.’ The fifth was ‘Inclusive technologies: the synergy of the real and virtual for social stability, resocialisation and psycho-emotional recovery.’
