WUNU delegation at the Congress in Bydgoszcz
From 15 to 17 October, the Polish city of Bydgoszcz became the world centre of sports science! Two large-scale events took place at the Institute of Sport and Physical Culture of the University of Economics in Bydgoszcz: the 5th International Scientific Congress of Rescue and the 7th International Scientific Conference ‘State, prospect and development of rescue, physical culture and sports in the 21st century’.
Our university was represented by a delegation from the Department of Physical Rehabilitation and Sports: Director of the Student Sports Centre, Honoured Coach of Ukraine Roman Tsykvas, Acting Head of the Department Natalia Bezpalova, and Associate Professor Roman Hakh.
The congress brought together scientists from around the world. Over two days, speakers from Norway, Great Britain, Ireland, Zambia, Spain and many other countries discussed the most pressing issues: from water rescue to modern views on the development of physical culture and sport.
The final day of the conference took place at the modern Astoria sports complex, where the organisers presented best practices under the slogan ‘Safety, health and sport – a Polish priority’.
Participation in such events affirms that WUNU's scientific community is integral to the global sporting community. We extend our gratitude to our lecturers for representing the university with distinction.
