Initiation of first-year students at the B. Havrylyshyn Institute of International Relations of WUNU
A momentous occasion - the initiation of first-year students into student life - has been celebrated at the Bohdan Havrylyshyn Education and Research Institute of International Relations at WUNU. For the newcomers, this day marked not only the triumphant beginning of their studies, but also symbolised their joining a community that shapes future leaders on an international scale.
The assembly hall was alive with energy, spirit, and excitement, because this is where the journey to professional growth, new opportunities, and a deep understanding of global processes begins.
The director of the institute, Lyudmyla Havrylyuk-Yensen, addressed the first-year students with a welcoming speech, emphasising that studying at the B. Havrylyshyn Institute of International Relations means more than just acquiring knowledge , it is an entry into the world of global economics, international diplomacy, and innovative transformations that will shape the 21st century. She wished the students great intellectual curiosity, courage in choosing their goals, and faith in their own potential.
The creative part of the event was a real celebration of self-expression, with each academic group and their curators preparing vivid presentations about themselves, their goals and dreams. The presentations were distinguished by their creativity, variety of formats, and friendly atmosphere, which once again confirmed that a generation capable of thinking globally and acting locally is being raised here. The culmination of the event was the presentation of student ID cards, an important symbol of a new stage in life. From that moment on, each first-year student became part of our academic community, which combines the traditions of the Ukrainian scientific school with openness to the world.
The interactive Kahoot game ‘Every Day with Havrylyshyn’ added a special intellectual touch to the event, allowing first-year students to experience the spirit of our institute in a playful way and learn more about the values established by the outstanding Ukrainian thinker and global visionary Bohdan Hawrylyshyn.
The celebrations concluded with the proclamation of the student oath – a solemn pledge to uphold the title of international student with dignity, to nurture knowledge, respect, responsibility and love for Ukraine.
Dear freshmen! Ahead of you lie years of intellectual discoveries, international opportunities and professional development. May your studies at the institute become not only a source of knowledge, but also a space for great ideas, bold dreams and deep friendships.
Inspiration, victories and confident steps into the future!
