Art meeting ‘Unformatted” at WUNU
The Maidan of Knowledge at the West Ukrainian National University hosted another art meeting from the ‘Unformatted’ series. This time, the event was dedicated to the outstanding Ukrainian singer, the legendary opera diva Solomiya Krushelnytska.
It has become a good tradition to hold art events called ‘Unformatted’ at WUNU, each of which has its own unique theme. Previously, there were meetings called ‘Unformatted with a taste of coffee’ and ‘Unformatted with the scent of spring’. This year’s event was particularly significant, as it was dedicated to the work of a famous fellow countrywoman, whose birthday is celebrated in September.
The event was attended by university students, staff from the Office for Liberal Arts and Personal Development, and students from the TNG dance company and New Ject Dance choreography studios. The audience enjoyed poetry, dance and music performances, surprises and a warm atmosphere.
The event host, Yurii Dziula, conducted an interactive quiz entitled ‘True or False’ about the life and work of Solomiya Krushelnytska. This allowed participants not only to learn interesting facts, but also to actively engage in discussing the figure of this great artist.
The event organisers ensured a cosy and relaxed atmosphere: guests were treated to tea, sweets and confectionery, which encouraged informal communication, new acquaintances and a warm, friendly atmosphere.
The art meeting ‘Unformatted’ once again proved that the university is not only a place of learning, but also a platform for inspiration, creativity, and profound respect for Ukrainian culture, and that Solomiya Krushelnytska’s work can be the theme of a contemporary and youth event!
