Lecture "The Preconditions for Success in External vs. Internal Projects" by Professor Jan Christoph Albrecht, Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts (FH Dortmund)
As part of the Seventh International Week at the West Ukrainian National University, on September 10, 2025, Professor Jan Christoph Albrecht, Co-Director of the European Master in Project Management (EuroMPM) course programme at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts (FH Dortmund), Agile Coach, Dortmund, Germany, presented the lecture "The Preconditions for Success in External vs. Internal Projects" for students and postgraduates of the Faculty of Computer Information Technologies (FCIT).
Professor Albrecht analyzed the prerequisites for the success of IT projects at the stages of initiation, formation of the technical task and development of the implementation concept. He focused on the differences between internal and external projects, motivational challenges for team members and stakeholders, and the importance of considering factors such as experience in implementing previous projects, organizational culture, values, and strategic goals.
The lecture aroused keen interest among undergraduate, graduate and PhD students of the FCIT and contributed to the expansion of their knowledge and competences in the field of IT project management.
