Another group of internally displaced persons has begun studying at the West Ukrainian National University as part of a free training course on entrepreneurship, which is being implemented jointly with the NGO Educational and Social Innovations with the financial support of the European Education and Culture Executive Agency as part of the international project "The Universities’ Reaction to Big Obstructions: Building resilient higher education to respond and manage societal crises" (TURBO). The project coordinator in Ukraine is the International Foundation for Social Adaptation.

Over the course of three months, participants will acquire knowledge and skills that will help them develop their own business ideas and bring them to life.

The participants were welcomed by the university's rector, Oksana Desyatnyuk, who emphasised the importance of believing in oneself and supporting one another.

Oksana Shandruk, Director of the Centre for Social and Psychological Support and Resilience, familiarised the group with the curriculum and the teaching team.

The speech by Yana Shkuratova, chair of the IDP Council, who herself was forced to leave her home in 2014, was particularly moving. She encouraged participants to dream boldly, seize every opportunity for development, and never lose faith in themselves.

Veronika Vakulenko, Associate Professor at Nord University (Norway) and Institutional Coordinator of the TURBO project, and Volodymyr Rubtsov, President of the International Foundation for Social Adaptation, also spoke, expressing their support and best wishes for the new group.

The educational journey has begun. Ahead lie new insights, encounters, and acquaintances. We wish everyone inspiration, faith in their ideas, and confident progress toward success!
