WUNU student at the World Championships
From August 20 to 24, 2025, the World Canoe and Kayak Championships were held in Milan, Italy. The event brought together more than 800 athletes from nearly 70 countries at the Idroscalo course.
The Ukrainian national team consisted of 27 rowers who represented Ukraine in all 24 disciplines of the programme. Among them was canoeist Vitalii Prystai, a debutant at the world championships and a student at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at the West Ukrainian National University.
The World Canoe and Kayak Championships in Milan were a vivid demonstration of the strength and talent of Ukrainian youth.
We are proud of our student, who, making his debut on the world stage, represented Ukraine with dignity among the world's best rowers. May this championship be just the beginning of great achievements for Vitalii and the entire Ukrainian national team. We wish that his dedication to sport and desire to win serves as a source of endless inspiration and motivates him to new achievements in sport and life!
