WUNU scientist wins international award in computer engineering
The teaching staff of the West Ukrainian National University congratulates the Head of the Department of Computer Engineering, PhD, Associate Professor Lesia Dubchak on receiving a prestigious international award - Women Researcher Award from the Global Particle Physics Excellence Awards (13th Edition).
The award was presented on 22 July 2025 for significant contributions and outstanding achievements in the field of innovative scientific research.
This award recognises excellence in research, international activity and leadership in the development of modern computer engineering. The award ceremony was sponsored by Scifax, which is registered with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, and the certificate can be verified using a QR code or serial number on the official website physicistparticle.com.
Lesia Dubchak is a prominent Ukrainian scientist and educator in the field of computer engineering with a bright career marked by the application of innovative approaches, pedagogical skills and scientific excellence. With a double honours degree in Mathematics and Computer Systems, Lesia has worked her way up from an engineer to the Head of the Computer Engineering Department at WUNU. Her research delves into intelligent computing with an emphasis on fuzzy logic, cybersecurity and machine learning. With more than 100 scientific papers, including more than 30 articles indexed in Scopus and WoS, prof. Dubchak has shaped both the academic and research landscape. Her teaching experience covers cutting-edge subjects from FPGA programming to data protection systems.
