WEST UKRAINIAN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

 The Rector of the West Ukrainian National University, Professor Oksana Desyatnyuk, and the Director of the International Centre for Culture and Development of WUNU, Professor Olha Tsaryk, held an insightful meeting with the President of the European Youth Forum EYFON, Dr Christoph Leitl.

During a friendly and constructive conversation, the parties discussed further areas of cooperation between WUNU and EYFON aimed at enhancing the participation of Ukrainian youth in international initiatives. In particular, the importance of European youth meetings, which contribute to the development of leadership skills, intercultural dialogue and European identity, was emphasised.

Dr Leitl expressed his deep respect for the mission of the WUNU. He noted that the energy and enthusiasm of the students is a source of inspiration for all those working for the benefit of Europe.

Particular attention was paid to a joint project - the organisation of a Summer School under the Erasmus+ programme, which involves a week-long full-time session in a unique space that symbolises dialogue, solidarity and European values.

In addition, at the invitation of Dr Christoph Leitl, Oksana Desyatnyuk and Olga Tsaryk listened to his public presentation at the Vienna Diplomatic Academy, one of the leading European centres for international relations and training of future diplomats. The speech touched upon topical issues of European development, the role of young people in European integration processes and the importance of educational diplomacy.

The EYFON President also officially handed over three personal nomination scholarships for Ukrainian participants of the next European Youth Forum in Neumarkt to the Rector of WUNU Oksana Desyatnyuk.

West Ukrainian National University is steadily strengthening its international reputation and creating an environment for quality education and global thinking for a new generation of Ukrainians.
