WUNU students took part in the European Youth Forum EYFON in Austria
As part of the activities of the International Centre for Culture and Development, students majoring in Business Communications and Translation at West Ukrainian National University - Kseniia Boichuk, Yuliia Hula, Adelia Kukharchuk, Eva Matsko, Khrystyna Kazmirchuk, Viktoriia Bortnyk, Tina Kurdiani and Viktoriia Shushpanova took part in the European Youth Forum EYFON, which was recently held in Neumarkt, Austria.
The forum brought together 30 young participants aged 18-25 from the European Union, the Western Balkans, Turkey and Ukraine.
The main goal of the event was to discuss the policy of peace in Europe, develop intercultural dialogue and actively engage young people in shaping a common European future.
Our students joined the discussions on important topics such as information warfare, the role of communication in peacekeeping, and youth participation in conflict resolution.
They also took part in the Peace Negotiation Challenge simulation game, modelling international peace negotiations, listened to lectures and attended workshops from experts from Austria, Albania and Ukraine. The forum programme also included team-building activities, an intercultural evening and excursions around the region.
Participation in EYFON has become a special opportunity for WUNU students not only to improve their professional and language skills, but also to feel part of a large European community committed to peace, cooperation and development.
