Internship at Ternopil City Council
Vasylyna Vatashchak, a student of the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy at the B. Havrylyshyn Education and Research Institute of International Relations of the West Ukrainian National University, majoring in International Relations (group MVS-21), shares her experience of an internship at the Ternopil City Council.
"The internship at the Ternopil City Council was an extremely valuable and unforgettable stage in my professional development. It was a period of active learning, inspiration, new acquaintances and a real immersion in the work of local government."
"Working in the city's strategic development department, I not only gained practical knowledge, but also saw how decisions that directly affect the life of the community are made. It was extremely interesting to observe how a strategic vision is transformed into real projects — from idea to implementation."
"I was particularly impressed by the work of the departments of international cooperation, marketing, outdoor advertising and tourism. It was incredibly exciting to see how the city shapes its image, cooperates with other countries and promotes itself on the tourist map of Ukraine. Every meeting, every discussion and every piece of advice from experienced professionals became a source of motivation for me."
"I would like to emphasize the friendly group dynamic within the team. Each of us was treated with respect, openness and a desire to share experience. This made us feel that we are truly part of a large team that cares about the development of Ternopil."
"This experience has taught me that change begins with initiative and teamwork, as well as the conviction that young people can and should be involved in management processes. I am very grateful to the organisers for this unique opportunity. I am leaving here with new ideas, inspiration and a desire to continue developing, working for my community and implementing socially important initiatives."
