Recently, the 13th scientific conference was held in Sofia (Bulgaria)
‘New Economy 2025: New Approaches to Growth and a Sustainable Future’, which has been co-organised for several years by the Department of Economics and Economic Theory of the West Ukrainian National University together with the Oikos Institute – Research Center Bijeljina (Bosnia and Herzegovina).
This year, the conference was hosted by the University of National and World Economy (UNWE), one of Bulgaria's leading higher education institutions.
During the conference, at the invitation of the host, representatives of WUNU delivered presentations: Doctor of Economics, Professor of the Department of Economics and Economic Theory Oleksandr Dluhopolskyi with a report entitled ‘Quality of governance services and environment effectiveness’ (offline); Viktor Koziuk, Doctor of Economics, Head of the Department of Economics and Economic Theory, with a report entitled ‘Central Bank independence: do legal origins matter?’ (online).
The conference proceedings will be published in the highly rated Q2 journal ECONOMICS - Innovative and Economics Research Journal.
During the conference, Professor Oleksandr Dluhopolskyi met with the leadership of the Oikos Institute and UNWE, and discussed avenues for further cooperation with WUNU. In particular, they discussed expanding the partnership in the field of joint scientific research and implementing international projects within the framework of the signed memorandum of cooperation.
