Students and faculty of the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy participate in the European Kaleidoscope: A Taste of Hungary
Recently, a vibrant cultural and artistic event entitled ‘European Kaleidoscope: A Taste of Hungary’ was held in Ternopil, organised by the Hungarian Embassy in Ukraine and the Honorary Consulate of Hungary in Ternopil as part of the Europe Day celebrations.
Oksana Tulai, Head of the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy at the B. Havrylyshyn Education and Research Institute of International Relations, lecturers and students majoring in International Relations took part in the event.
The event programme was varied and extremely interesting. Guests had the opportunity to visit three art exhibitions: Janos Eifert's photo project ‘Dance is My Love,’ an exhibition of illustrations by Kato Lukac, and an exhibition entitled ‘Old Coffee Houses of Budapest,’ where traditional Hungarian dessert esterházy was served with a cup of coffee.
The students of the department also had the honour of reading poems by outstanding Hungarian poets. Solomiya Okun recited Endre Ady's poem ‘On the Altar of Hungary,’ Olesia Kuryltsio recited Sándor Petőfi's ‘Letter,’ and Daria Rostotska recited Sándor Petőfi's ‘My Native Land!’
A pleasant surprise for the participants was a gift from Eva Heizerne Hegedyus, representative of the Hungarian Embassy in Ukraine — books for the department and students, which will be useful for studying the Hungarian language and culture and will contribute to the development of intercultural competence of future specialists.
