Employees of the International Relations Office and the Director of the International Centre for Culture and Development of our university took part in the 6th International Staff Week entitled ‘Rethinking Growth – The Role of Strategic Management Approaches in Global Higher Education’, which was held on 19–23 May 2025 at B2 Ljubljana School of Business (Ljubljana, Slovenia).

The event was aimed at discussing innovative approaches to higher education management and global strategies for university development in the current environment. Representatives of 55 universities from more than 20 countries in Europe, Asia and South America took part in the event, including delegations from Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Bhutan, Malaysia, Colombia and the Balkan countries. Among the participants were representatives of the management (rectors, deans), as well as teachers and staff of international offices of universities.

The Staff Week programme included lectures, practical workshops and discussion panels on key topics: artificial intelligence, intercultural communication, digital marketing, pedagogical innovations and strategic management in education. A significant part of the event was the 7th Eastern European Conference on Management and Economics (EECME 2025) dedicated to the topic ‘Rethinking Growth – Strategies for Resilient Economies in a Globalised World’. The week's programme also included a fair for partner universities, practical workshops, panel discussions, sightseeing tours of the city and a certificate award ceremony for participants. In particular, the programme featured interactive workshops, open discussions, networking and excursions around Ljubljana.

Our delegation's participation in International Staff Week contributed to the expansion of international partnerships and the improvement of staff qualifications, as well as the exchange of best practices in the field of international activities of higher education institutions.

The main goal of Staff Week is to strengthen international cooperation and exchange experience between universities. The knowledge and contacts gained will be used to further develop our international relations and implement the acquired ideas into the learning environment of our institution.
