Training on digitalisation: "Cultural Heritage Workshop"
Recently, representatives of the Department of Information and Computing Systems and Management of WUNU took part in a training session on digitalisation, "Cultural Heritage Workshop", was held in Kyiv at Kooperativ. The event was organised by the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation in partnership with the National Bureau of the EU Programme "Creative Europe" and the Ukrainian Heritage Monitoring Lab (NeMo) project.
As part of the session "Supported Projects in the Cultural Heritage Sector," presentations were given by Professor Myroslav Komar and Associate Professor Khrystyna Lipianina-Honcharenko.
They presented the international project "Talking Heads – Talking with Art from the Past," implemented within the European cooperation programme (CREA-CULT-2025-COOP-2).
The speakers emphasised the 300 years of destruction of memory and marginalisation of the Ukrainian voice; the bans on language, names, styles and art; and the need not only to preserve objects, but also to give them back their voice.
Our team's contribution once again demonstrated the importance of an interdisciplinary approach, where artificial intelligence and the humanities work together to preserve and revitalise cultural heritage.
