The Department of International Economic Relations, in cooperation with stakeholders and business owners, co-organised a meeting on ‘Business Development in Uncertain Times’ (using the example of Shredder LLC).

The lecture took place on 13 May 2025 at the West Ukrainian National University for the students majoring in International Management, International Economic Relations and International Business at the B. Havrylyshyn Education and Research Institute of International Relations.

Students and attendees had the opportunity to talk with Natalia Turkanyk, stakeholder of the Department of International Economic Relations and Director of Human Resources at Shredder LLC.

The speaker highlighted issues related to business development in uncertain times, emphasising the importance of HR strategy in helping companies adapt to crises. She shared the experience of Shredder LLC in building a talent pool and creating opportunities for professional growth even in an unstable market.

Special attention was given to identifying changemakers among employees and developing key competencies such as flexibility, proactivity, and critical thinking, which are particularly valuable in times of instability. The speaker also talked about practices for attracting and retaining leading specialists in their company. In addition, an analysis was made of how Shredder LLC adapted its HR policy in the context of full-scale war and economic instability.

At the end of her presentation, the lecturer shared her own management experience in difficult situations, gave students practical advice on building a career in a changing world, and explained why her company actively invests in the development of its staff.

Students and attendees gained not only valuable theoretical and practical knowledge, but also motivation to act confidently even in uncertain conditions, developing their own business ideas today.

The event was attended by Roman Zvarych, Head of the Department of International Economic Relations, as well as the teaching staff of the department.
