WUNU expands international cooperation: agreement signed with Tomas Bata University in Zlin

 A cooperation agreement between West Ukrainian National University and Tomas Bata University in Zlin (Czech Republic) was signed today in Czechia. The signing ceremony was attended by Milan Adámek, Rector of Tomas Bata University, and Mykola Dyvak, Vice-Rector for Research of West Ukrainian National University.


The parties in Zlín discussed prospects for scientific cooperation between higher education institutions. In particular, the signed agreement provided for the possibility of holding the ACIT'2026 International Conference on Advanced Computer Information Technologies at Tomas Bata University in 2026. The Rector Milan Adámek put forth the proposal to designate the Faculty of Applied Informatics as the venue for the ACIT'2026 conference.


A joint meeting was also held between Mykola Dyvak and the administration of the Faculty of Applied Informatics, during which the areas of cooperation were outlined in detail and the tasks of each party in the preparation and implementation of the event were defined. The working meeting was attended by David Bilnica, a representative of Monet+, a leading Czech developer of solutions in the field of digital identity, electronic payments and cybersecurity. He confirmed the company's readiness to sponsor the conference.


WUNU's Vice-Rector also inspected the faculty's facilities and equipment, including multimedia devices for the conference and databases. Upon conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed on a list of issues that need to be addressed in the near future to ensure the success of the conference.
