West Ukrainian National University hosted a Career Day, an event that brought together students, alumni, employers and teachers in a common pursuit of professional growth and development.

Such events are an important part of creating opportunities for young people: they facilitate meetings with potential employers, exchange of experience and broadening horizons for career growth.

This year, more than 45 organisations from various industries presented their offers to students: from IT companies and the police to banks, food companies, the agricultural sector, internet providers and small businesses.

Today, the university plays not only an educational role, but also a strategic one – serving as a platform for young professionals to launch their careers.

Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Research Viktor Ostroverkhov, addressing the participants of the event, said: ‘Our priority is to provide our graduates with employment opportunities. We actively interact with employers who are interested in young professionals. Dear students, you are the hope of Ukraine. Believe in yourselves and confidently move towards your goals!’

In turn, Mykola Horodetskyi, Director of the Ternopil Regional Employment Centre, noted: ‘The modern labour market needs young and creative professionals. You have a real opportunity to start your own business by taking advantage of government programmes and grant opportunities. Develop, learn and make your dreams come true in Ukraine!’

The event programme was packed with training sessions, workshops, seminars, career consultations, meetings with HR specialists, and speed interviews. Students had the opportunity to talk to potential employers in person, ask questions, and get useful advice on building a successful career.

Career Day has become an important step in strengthening ties between education and the professional environment, not only as a platform for job seekers, but also as a source of inspiration, new ideas and new acquaintances.
