International internship at the Netherlands Business Academy

 From 1 to 9 April 2024, WUNU staff took part in an international internship under the Erasmus+ KA171 programme (academic year 2023/2024) in Breda, the Kingdom of the Netherlands.


The delegation of West Ukrainian National University, consisting of: Oksana Koval, Director of the Education and Research Institute of Communications, Associate Professor of the Department of Psychology and Social Work, Group Leader; Anastasia Martynevych, Category I Specialist of the School of Negotiation and Mediation, Coordinator of International Activities of the ERIC.


Professor Jan van Zwieten, Rector, Head of the International Association of Mediators, mediator, coach, and trainer, coordinated the training programme on behalf of the Netherlands Business Academy, ensuring the organisation of the training programme and its practice-oriented focus.


The aim of the international internship was to improve academic and professional skills, develop intercultural cooperation and contribute to the quality of education and research at the university. While at the Netherlands Business Academy, representatives of West Ukrainian National University had the opportunity to exchange experience and knowledge with colleagues from another country, participating in joint training sessions and interactive group discussions of the Psychology of Negotiation and Mediation study programme, which helped to deepen their knowledge and skills in the field of mediation and negotiation. The exposure to the Dutch culture helped to improve intercultural cooperation, understanding of the diversity of views and approaches to solving various problems, and enrichment of cultural diversity. The participants received certificates of international internship.


We sincerely thank the Netherlands Business Academy for this opportunity, which has become an invaluable experience for our university. The acquired knowledge, skills and intercultural cooperation will enrich our activities and have a positive impact on the development of the educational system in our country.
