Q&A session "World Economic Forum Davos 2024"

 The Q&A session "World Economic Forum Davos 2024", organised by the Department of International Economics of the B.D. Havrylyshyn Education and Research Institute of International Relations, was held at West Ukrainian National University.


The keynote speaker was Vitaliy Zapukhlyak, an invited participant of the Davos Economic Forum 2024, Honorary Consul of Croatia in the Western Region.


The event was held with the support of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Senegal in Ukraine and with the participation of Honorary Consul Iryna Ivashchuk. Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Research Viktor Ostroverkhov and Acting Director of the B.D. Havrylyshyn Institute of International Relations Maksym Zhyvko delivered welcoming remarks. The discussion was moderated by the Head of the Department of International Economics Iryna Zvarych.


The event was attended by 10th grade students of Ternopil Specialised School No. 3, Ternopil Regional Lyceum "Znamennya", Velykyi Beresovytskyi Lyceum, and WUNU students of the International Economics programme.


Vitaliy Zapukhlyak shared his impressions of the forum and outlined the main topics that were on the agenda in Davos. The participants talked about artificial intelligence and its threats, the crisis of trust and the role of the global platform in Davos in restoring it, leading countries and interesting speeches in Davos, the role of communication and partnership, promotion of Ukraine and its support at the forum. The participants were also tasked with a team presentation of their vision of the main topics discussed in Davos: achieving security and cooperation in a divided world; creating growth and jobs for a new era; artificial intelligence as a driving force for the economy and society; and a long-term strategy for climate, nature and energy. After the presentations, students received gifts from the organisers.


The Honorary Consul of the Republic of Croatia in the Western Region Vitaliy Zapukhlyak presented the young people with books as a gift for their interesting questions.
