WEST UKRAINIAN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

 Judo competitions under the program of the 18th Summer Universiade of Ukraine 2023 have ended at the sports complex of Lesya Ukrainka National University of Kyiv.

In the team championship among higher education institutions of Ukraine, West Ukrainian National University took 5th place and 1st place among the category IV universities.

According to the results of the tournament, two WUNU students Mykhailo Svidrak and Snizhana Plish, will represent Ukraine at the Summer World Universiade to be held in Chengdu, China, from July 28 to August 8, 2023.

Mykhailo Svidrak did not yield to his rivals during the two competitive days of the competition and in the final fight he performed a spectacular throw on the ippon.
