Training week and International Winter School in Dortmund

 Within the framework of the international projects VIMacS and WORK4CE, the teachers of the Department of Information and Computing Systems and Control and the staff of the Research Institute of Intelligent Computer Systems of West Ukrainian National University participated in the Training week for Teachers in Dortmund.


During November 15-19 at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Dortmund (Germany) educators worked in teams (Red Pandas - Anatoliy Sachenko; Llamas - Pavlo Bykovyy, Khrystyna Lipianina-Honcharenko; Flamingos - Mykhailo Dombrovskyi; Cheetahs - Grygorii Rozvalika) and worked on the project "Developing module within OpenCoPs”. The main goals included defining a flexible methodology for the development of modules among partners, learning project management strategies, creating Agile-events using Jira Software, practising working with documents in the Confluence application.


In addition, Dortmund International Winter School 2021 was held at the same time. The training covered the topics of artificial intelligence and data analysis, business intelligence and decision making, cloud data processing systems. Denys Khlopetskyi, a student of Computer Sciences (KN-42), and teachers Anatoliy Sachenko and Pavlo Bykovyy atttended the school. The latter told young people about working with open data, their collection and processing. During the classes, a website development project was created, which displays information about the participants of the Formula 1 race, namely their statistics and the chance to win in the next race.


Anatoliy Sachenko and Pavlo Bykovyy also met with the team of Carsten Wolff from the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts regarding the 12th IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Data Acquisition and Advanced Computing Systems: Technology and Applications, scheduled for September 6-9, 2023, in Dortmund.
