YouthSOFTPOWER — Youth Engaged in European Soft Power
West Ukrainian National University (WUNU) is a partner in the Erasmus+ international project YouthSOFTPOWER – Youth Engaged in European Soft Power, aimed at engaging youth in European “soft power” through education on ODA (Official Development Assistance) and SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), as well as developing leadership, advocacy, and modern digital communications.

About the project
YouthSOFTPOWER combines youth needs research, development of educational content and platforms, practical advocacy tools, and pilot activities. The team will create a online platform, a Youth Advocacy Guide, ODA-SDG campaign templates, podcasts/vlogs, and a series of webinars to enhance youth participation in civic life and policy-making.
Role and tasks of WUNU
WUNU is responsible for key technical and content components of the project and participates at all stages:
- WP2 – Needs analysis and platform design
- Conducting surveys and engaging Ukrainian youth communities.
- Leadership in the “Content Development Framework” (structure of educational materials).
- Development and implementation of the project platform (design, technical realization).
- WP3 – Development of tools and resources
- Creating ODA-SDG advocacy campaign templates for youth initiatives.
- Development of the “YES-Power” website: resource section, publication of materials, usage analytics.
- WP4 – Pilots and refinement
- Participation in the design and implementation of pilots (in Ukraine and with partners).
- Refinement of materials based on pilot feedback (improving content and tools).
- WP5 – Dissemination and community engagement
- Preparation of interactive materials for multiplier events.
- Presentation of WUNU’s outputs at the final conference.
Expected results
- An effective online platform with open resources for youth and youth workers.
- Youth Advocacy Guide and ODA-SDG campaign templates adapted to the national context.
- Podcasts, vlogs, webinars, and learning modules to develop advocacy and digital communication skills.
- Pilot implementations with subsequent refinement of materials based on testing results.
Impact for WUNU and Ukraine
The project strengthens WUNU’s role in building youth potential, civic engagement, and European integration. The university expands digital educational infrastructure, strengthens partnerships with European institutions, and creates practical tools for Ukrainian youth organizations, communities, and educators.
