European Youth Forum Neumarkt (EYFON)
EYFON (European Youth Forum Neumarkt) is a response to the contemporary challenges facing Europe. The European Youth Forum Neumarkt was founded in March 2018 as a foundation to support Forchtenstein Castle and as an organization that conducts seminars for young people from all over Europe. The forum aims to foster young people’s identification with Europe, develop critical thinking and intercultural dialogue, and promote awareness of European values and principles. The forum’s program combines professional lectures, presentations, and workshops with social, cultural, and sports activities. Young people aged 16 to 25 are allowed to discuss the future of the European continent, learn how to effectively use the potential of Europe, the digital age, and international contacts, as well as identify possible risks and threats. Particular attention is paid to tolerance, interregional cooperation, and strengthening the European community.
Students of West Ukrainian National University participate in EYFON every year, representing Ukrainian youth on the international stage. They participate in panel discussions, workshops, training sessions, and interactive projects, exchanging experiences and views with young people from various European countries, and develop leadership and communication skills, critical thinking, and European civic awareness.
The participation of WUNU students in the forum contributes to broadening their worldview, developing global citizenship competencies, and strengthening the university’s image. The forum provides a platform for pan-European dialogue, establishing international contacts and partnerships, and allows participants to experience the spirit of the European community firsthand.
