 The academic staff of the Faculty of Law at West Ukrainian National University provides training of specialists in the following educational programs:

• Law

• International Law

• Law Enforcement Activities

• Economic Security and Financial Investigation

• National Security (in certain areas of provision and types of activity)

 After completing studies at the faculty, graduates can work in: legal aid provision, education, the judiciary, national police, customs service, fiscal service, Security Service of Ukraine, National Anti-Corruption Bureau, penal system bodies, other state and local government bodies, foreign law firms, international intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, international judicial institutions, embassies, ministries and departments of Ukraine, consulting and auditing foreign firms, militarized security, private security structures, and private detective agencies.

The faculty actively cooperates with institutions and organizations such as the Ternopil Court of Appeal, Ternopil Interdistrict Court, Bar Council of Ternopil Region, Western Interregional Free Legal Aid Center, State Migration Service Office in Ternopil Region, Main Directorate of National Police in Ternopil Region, Police Protection Office in Ternopil Region, Ternopil Scientific-Research Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Patrol Police Directorate in Ternopil Region, Strategic Investigations Office in Ternopil Region, private detective agency “Holmes”, and Constanta YurGroup LLC, where students can gain practical experience, participate in internships, and gain employment.

 The faculty implements international cooperation with foreign partners: Jagiellonian University (Poland, Krakow), Osnabrück University (Germany, Osnabrück), University of Silesia in Katowice (Poland, Katowice), Warmia-Mazury University (Poland, Olsztyn), and Karl and Franz University of Graz (Austria, Graz), and the School of Occupational Safety Management (Poland, Katowice).

The faculty’s teaching staff conducts research across all areas of jurisprudence, publishing results in the professional journal “Current Problems of Jurisprudence” (Category B).

Every year, faculty organizes international scientific events (forums, conferences, seminars, roundtables), including: International Scientific and Practical Conference “Ukraine in the Context of Legal System Reform: Current Realities and International Experience,” International Student Scientific Conference “Legal System of Ukraine in the Context of European Integration: Student Youth Perspective.”

 Student life at the Faculty of Law at WUNU is an essential component of personal and professional development. The faculty hosts many student initiatives and projects such as: Open Western Ukrainian Intellectual Tournament “NATUS VINCERE,” Summer School “LAW LEADER,” Forum of New Opportunities, “LAW WEEK,” international student scientific conferences, School of Polish and European Law, practical training courses, workshops, master classes, freshman initiation, theatrical performances with participation of faculty and students, climbing tours (including ascent to Hoverla), and participation in university-wide projects.
