Sports complex "Economist"
The opening of the new volleyball season in 2010 in Ternopil region was marked by a solemn event - in the branch of West Ukrainian National University - Chortkiv Institute of Entrepreneurship and Business - the construction of the sports and recreation complex "Economist" was completed.
The Economist was built in a modern style, everything is designed and executed with a view to the future. Now we can say with confidence that finally the region has all the conditions necessary for competitions in volleyball, basketball, handball, even at the international level. It has all the necessary infrastructure to make athletes, judges, journalists and fans feel comfortable. The convenient stands of the sports complex can accommodate six hundred people at once - athletes, judges, spectators, media representatives. The latest ventilation and heating systems have been installed, the hall has upgraded panels, modern flooring, a conference room, medical and massage rooms, and showers. Four locker rooms provide easy accommodation for athletes during volleyball tournaments and competitions in other sports. Next to the sports complex, one of the dormitories is equipped with a comfortable mini-hotel for athletes, where you can live and eat.
Students have the opportunity in their free time to play basketball, volleyball, mini-football, aerobics and to represent WUNU in regional and national competitions.
