Department of International Relations and Diplomacy
The staff of the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy of WUNU trains specialists in the following educational program:
— International relations, public communications and regional studies.
During their studies, in addition to general disciplines, students study the following subjects of professional orientation: History of International Relations and Diplomacy; Political Science; Foundations of geopolitics; Foreign policy of Ukraine; Regional geography; Theory of International Relations; International relations and world politics; International Economic Relations; Global studies and Regional science; Diplomatic protocol and etiquette; Organization of public communications; Political institutions and processes; International organizations; Theory of international conflicts; International integration; International security and national interests of the state; European studies; Diplomatic and consular service; Geopolitics and geoeconomics; International law; International information; Foreign language 1; Foreign language 2; Workshop on professional translation.
After graduation, graduates can be employed in the following areas:
— profile departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, whose activities aimed at the development of political, economic, cultural, humanitarian, scientific and other relations with foreign countries and international organizations;
— diplomatic missions of Ukraine in foreign countries (as staff diplomats and employees of embassies and missions, missions to international organizations);
— international organizations and their representations in Ukraine;
— central, regional and local executive bodies that ensure the formation and implementation of foreign policy in the field of international relations;
— international companies and their representative offices in Ukraine;
— Ukrainian public and private companies operating in the field of international relations and international business;
— consulting companies (providing consulting and communication services in the field of international exhibition activities);
— public organizations and international non-governmental organizations;
— mass media and news agencies in Ukraine and around the world;
— analytical or research centres ("think tanks", "think factories", centres of public policy research, research institutes or research centres);
— educational and research institutions.
The department actively cooperates with the following institutions and organizations: Ternopil Regional State Administration, Honorary Consulate of Hungary in Ternopil, Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Lithuania in Ternopil, Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Senegal in Ternopil, Scientific Society of History of Diplomacy and International Relations, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the state enterprise "Directorate-General for Rendering Services to Diplomatic Missions", where students have the opportunity to gain practical experience, participate in internships and training practices, obtain employment.
