Wroclaw - Ternopil: scientific cooperation

 Successful implementation of international agreements of the Ternopil National Economic University with its foreign partners requires direct interaction between the institutions. For the eighth year in a row, the TNEU delegation, consisting of the professors of the Department of Management and Public Administration, Doctors of Economic Sciences Alla Melnyk and Hryhorii Monastyrskyi took part in one of the most prestigious international conferences in Poland "Local and Regional Economics in Theory and Practice". The scientific event has been organized for the past 26 years by the Faculty of Economics, Management and Tourism at Jelenia Gora, Wroclaw University of Economics - one of the leading and reliable foreign partners of the Ternopil National Economic University.


The professors of TNEU presented the reports on: "Increasing the competitiveness of territorial communities in the context of implementing the new regional policy of Ukraine" and "Dilemma of the parallel existence of the new and old administrative-territorial systems in Ukraine: challenges and threats". Scientific articles based on the reports will be published in the collection of scientific works, which is part of the Web of Science ™ Core Collection.


Also during the visit, a working meeting was held with the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Management and Tourism of the University of Wroclaw, Doctor of Economics, Professor Elżbieta Sobczak. During it, the participants discussed the results of the internship of the TNEU students at the Wroclaw Economic University (June 2018) and the participation of Polish scholars in the scientific events at the Department of Management and Public Administration in 2018-2019. An invitation was received for the joint participation of Ukrainian and Polish scientists in the EU grant competition within the framework of the National Academic Exchanges Agency of Poland.
