Representatives of West Ukrainian National University visited foreign stakeholders of the "Psychology of Negotiation and Mediation" study programme - the Netherlands Police Academy in Apeldoorn. This visit was made possible thanks to the strong support of the Netherlands Business Academy, in the person of its rector, Professor Jan van Zwieten.

The main goal of the delegation members, Oksana Koval, Director of the Education and Research Institute of Communications, and Anastasia Martynevych, International Affairs Coordinator of the ERIC, was to lay the groundwork for future cooperation in areas of critical importance to Ukraine in academic and research activities. The discussions during the visit focused on finding ways of cooperation that will bring mutual benefits to both institutions.

During the visit, employees of the Dutch Police Academy Teun-Peter de Snooy, PhD candidate in clinical psychology at the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour, researcher of police stress resilience, and Paul Moss, head of the research team at the Dutch Police Academy, shared valuable experience and materials that are of great importance to our specialists. These materials include: "Resilience research: On Human Processes in Policing" (a series of studies by the Police Academy); "Stories of Resilience in Policing Practice" (which provides insights into real-life scenarios and experiences); "Innovation, Collaboration and Leadership - Key to an Innovation Ecosystem" (which explores key aspects of modern policing); and "Strategic Research Plan for the Police 2023-2026" (which outlines the strategic vision and objectives for future research).

The exchange of knowledge and resources during this visit is a testament to the strong spirit of international cooperation and collaboration in promoting academic and research excellence. We express our sincere gratitude to Professor Jan van Zwieten and the entire team at the Netherlands Business Academy for facilitating this enriching experience and look forward to fruitful cooperation in the future.

The event was organised as part of an international internship, within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA171-2022 staff mobility period.
