VI Western Ukrainian Forum "IT Perspective"

 West Ukrainian National University has hosted the VI Western Ukrainian Forum "IT Perspective".


The Faculty of Computer Information Technologies of WUNU together with the Ternopil IT Cluster, with the support of leading IT companies, as well as with the assistance of the Ternopil Regional Military Administration, the Department of Education and Science of the Ternopil City Council, the Association of Computer Information Technology Specialists and the organising committee of the international conference INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ADVANCED COMPUTER INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES (ACIT2024) organised an event dedicated to the training of IT specialists.


The goal is to popularise the IT industry among schoolchildren, college students and educational institutions of Ukraine, to present the potential, opportunities and first steps to IT.


Vice-Rector for Research Mykola Dyvak and Head of the Ternopil IT Cluster Kateryna Mykhailidi welcomed the forum participants and noted that the development of IT technologies is important for today's world, and it is necessary to implement the latest systems and methods.


The forum was attended by representatives of leading IT companies, the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Information Technologies Ihor Yakymenko and invited speakers. The event also included a raffle of valuable gifts from FCIT. Active and motivated participants, school students asked interesting questions and received awards.


Highly professional developers, researchers and professional IT managers: CROWDIN IT Company, EPAM IT Company, SWIT WEB IT Company, UNICORN IT Company, SOFTSERVE IT Company, and ELEKS IT Company shared their experience and knowledge and engaged in discussions with the audience.


Ihor Yakymenko, Dean of FCIT, presented a model of IT education, outlining promising specialities, and noted the list of IT schools of the Faculty of Computer Information Technology, where students can start their IT career by completing small projects under the guidance of teachers. The registration process for studying at these IT schools is currently underway.
