"Mediation. Basic Course" for students of the programme "Psychology of Negotiation and Mediation"
For the second year in a row, students of the Education and Research Institute of Communications of West Ukrainian National University have a unique opportunity to learn about the non-violent culture of dialogue together with Dutch practitioners.
On 7 November 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 18:00 p.m., the workshop "Mediation. Basic course" for students of the Master's degree programme in Psychology of Negotiation and Mediation will be held. The speaker is Jan van Zwieten, Rector of the Netherlands Business Academy, Chairman of the Board of the Dutch Quality Foundation for Mediators SKM, President of the Federation of Mediators of the Netherlands, Director of the School of Negotiation and Mediation of the Education and Research Institute of Communications, Honorary Professor of West Ukrainian National University, practicing mediator, coach, trainer, court mediator of the Court of Breda (Netherlands).
Participants will study the experience of the best European peacekeeping practices in the mediation system, basic mediator skills, mediation structure, questioning techniques, classification of mediation procedures, etc. In general, the workshop will include a broad programme of theoretical training and practice, including mediation simulations, role-playing exercises, group work, case studies, and analysis of video mediations by world-class practitioners.
