The Department of Information and Computer Systems and Management of WUNU has received grant support for the My Farm project under the ERASMUS-EDU-2023-PI-ALL-INNO-EDU-ENTERP programme - Alliances for Education and Entrepreneurship. The project will last 36 months. Other universities and organisations from Italy, Romania, Greece, Portugal, and Cyprus are also involved in the project.
The My Farm project focuses on food security, climate change and sustainability in agriculture, and aims to digitalise and use new technologies in agriculture.
In particular, the Department is responsible for Work Package 3, which provides for the creation of information technology support for the implementation of all project activities. This will not only contribute to the development of agriculture, but also ensure a sustainable conservation of natural resources, support the development of rural communities and the emergence of a new agri-food sector that meets the modern needs of a society.
This project is of great importance in the context of the war in Ukraine and post-war recovery, contributing to sustainable economic development and rural reconstruction. WUNU recognises the importance of this project in preparing future generations to meet modern challenges and ensure sustainability in agriculture. This project will contribute to the development of digital skills, entrepreneurial skills and increase the attractiveness of the agri-food sector for young people. The involvement of various stakeholders and partners in the implementation of new educational tools and a multifunctional platform will create a solid foundation for innovation and sustainable development in agriculture and contribute to post-war recovery.
