West Ukrainian National University is the best among the higher education institutions of Ternopil region!
According to the results of the consolidated ranking of higher education institutions of Ukraine, which was compiled by the information resource Osvita.ua on the basis of well-known university rankings in Ukraine: "TOP-200 Ukraine", "Scopus" and "NMT Score for Contract", West Ukrainian National University ranks 1st among the higher education institutions of Ternopil and Ternopil region, 8th among the best universities in the western region and 18th among 239 universities in Ukraine.
The following resources were used to compile the consolidated ranking of Ukrainian universities:
"TOP-200 Ukraine" - the basic principle of ranking universities is to ensure full openness, transparency and independence of the ranking of universities. To compile the ranking, open data of direct measurements were used, published by independent national and international organizations and institutions on open web resources.
Scopus ranking - the results of the ranking of higher education institutions are based on the indicators of the Scopus database, which is a tool for tracking the citation of scientific articles published by an educational institution or its employees in scientific journals. In the ranking table, Ukrainian educational institutions are ranked according to the Hirsch index, a quantitative indicator based on the number of scientific publications and the number of citations of these publications.
The "NMT score for contract" is a rating of higher education institutions based on the average score of the national multi-subject test of last year's applicants who were enrolled in universities to study at the expense of individuals and legal entities (contract for paid tuition).
