The Netherlands is a country of beautiful tulips, delicious cheese, bicycles, and wonderful people.

In the academic year 2022-2023, I had a wonderful chance to study for a semester at the Inholland University of Applied Sciences in Alkmaar under the Erasmus+ programme.

As a student of the MENM-41 group of the Department of International Economic Relations at B.D. Havrylyshyn Education and Research Institute of International Relations of WUNU, I was very interested in the option of taking a semester abroad, as I was interested in personal development and improving my knowledge. Therefore, when the opportunity arose to participate in the competitive selection for studying at the Inholland University of Applied Sciences in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, I agreed.

First of all, I was impressed by the town of Alkmaar, where I was to study, because there were small houses, canals, beautiful architecture, and lots of greenery everywhere.

The university was pleasantly surprising in that it is modern and well-designed for the convenience and comfort of students. It has a large campus, classrooms with all the necessary equipment, friendly staff, and a large recreation area with games and sofas.

I believe that Inholland University of Applied Sciences is a great choice for students who want to gain a cool experience. I studied in an English-speaking environment, which helped me to understand and adapt to the new culture and educational system, and the teachers are real professionals, so our learning process was exciting.

In addition, Inholland University offered students many opportunities for development. We could always ask for help if we had problems with documents, questions about our studies or even personal difficulties.

But the most important thing I remember from the whole experience is the incredible people around me! There were students from Spain, France, Morocco, Turkey, and the Netherlands in my group. We spent a lot of time together: traveling, doing homework together, going to parties and museums, and having dinner with traditional dishes from each country.

My studies at the Inholland University of Applied Sciences were an unforgettable experience that allowed me to meet new people, gain new knowledge, and feel part of an international community.

Happy and infinitely grateful to the B.D. Havrylyshyn Education and Research Institute of International Relations of WUNU!
