7th International Scientific and Practical Conference "Ukraine in conditions of reforming the legal system: modern reality and international experience"
The Faculty of Law of West Ukrainian National University organized the 7th International Scientific and Practical Conference "Ukraine in the conditions of reforming the legal system: modern reality and international experience", which was attended by students and teachers of WUNU, partners, representatives of scientific schools and practicing lawyers from Poland, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, Austria, Israel and the UK.
The development of Ukraine as a rule-of-law and democratic state is impossible without further reform of the legal system.
Welcoming the audience, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Research Oksana Desyatnyuk said: "Good afternoon, dear guests, colleagues, partners! In the current realities of martial law, it is extremely important for our country to ensure not only security at the front, territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, but also the effective functioning of the scientific rear of the state. The task of a modern scientist at a European-level university in Ukraine is to work diligently to develop the latest legal doctrine, the basis for effective legislation, and to form a progressive elite of state-builders. I wish you all a fruitful discussion, interesting ideas, effective communication and new developments! Together we are a great force!"
The conference was held in 4 sections: theory and practice of the development of the legal system of Ukraine: experience, problems and prospects; global challenges and current trends in the development of international law; law enforcement in the current environment: realization of human rights, ensuring public order and security, the impact of martial law on law enforcement; human rights violations in the context of global turbulence.
The event was moderated by Liudmyla Savanets, PhD in Law, Associate Professor of the Department of International Law and Migration Policy at WUNU.
