Cooperation with the Global Connective Center in action!

 Within the framework of the signed cooperation agreement between West Ukrainian National University and The Global Connective Center (USA), a working meeting of Ukrainian and American representatives was initiated by the Educational and Research Institute of Communications of WUNU.


The event was attended by John F. Wharton, Chairman of the Board and CEO of the Global Connective Center. Oksana Koval, Director of the Education and Research Institute of Communications, moderator of the event, and Anastasia Martynevych, Coordinator for International Activities of the ERIC.


The Global Connective Center combines world-class expertise, advanced technology, and system integration to provide solutions that support societies, governments, industry, and academia in clearly defined areas. At previous meetings, the parties agreed on a structural and logical model of mechanisms for attracting U.S. financial and technical assistance in implementing Ukraine's reconstruction projects based on a cluster system of university interaction with communities, local governments, and external stakeholders.


West Ukrainian National University will act as a provider that will carry out scientific and educational activities, research, adaptation of innovative technologies to actual conditions (including mental, cultural, geographical, climatic, etc.), in Ukraine and develop mechanisms for the effective implementation of innovative technologies in specific areas of production.


The first structural subdivision to be involved in the implementation of joint projects for the reconstruction of Ukraine is the Education and Research Institute of Innovation, Environmental Management and Infrastructure, represented by Vasyl Brych, Director of the ERI, Olena Borysiak, Director of the Education and Research Center for Innovative Development and Training, Serhii Hunko, Deputy Director of the ERI for International Activities, and Uliana Tkach, Deputy Director of the ERI for Innovation.


Colleagues agreed on the areas of work - development of logistics, energy, manufacturing, agriculture and food industry, innovations in the field of climate change, etc.


The team of the Education and Research Institute of Innovation, Environmental Management and Infrastructure has already started working on the first tasks. In general, work is planned in the areas of education, cybersecurity, implementation of artificial intelligence systems, infrastructure development (smart cities and regions strategy), economic analysis of regions, healthcare, etc.
