On August 16-18, the "Yuna Ukraine" Cup among juniors and the championship of Ukraine among men and women in sambo took place in Kyiv.
Students of West Ukrainian National University performed outstandingly at these competitions. Among adults, Mykhailo Svidrak won the gold medal in the weight category up to 90 kg while Snizhana Plish won gold in the weight category up to 54 kg. Bronze was won by Alla Beheba and Mariia Kunevych in the weight category up to 59 kg, Olha Drig - among athletes up to 65 kg. Olha also became the champion among juniors in the weight up to 65 kg.
