WUNU develops cooperation with veteran businesses
The rector of WUNU, Oksana Desyatnyuk, paid a working visit to the company ‘Green Wave Ukraine’. This is a unique company that implements the latest biotechnologies in crop production. Veterans who have returned from the Russian-Ukrainian war develop their business ideas here.
At the enterprise, a team of scientists from WUNU met with representatives of the veteran business project ‘Veteran Garden,’ which brought together combatants who are exploring new professional fields.
The meeting was attended by Andrii Starukh, head of the Monastyryska territorial community, who is also a combat veteran.
On the eve of the event, West Ukrainian National University signed a memorandum of cooperation with Green Wave Ukraine LLC. Under the agreement, the educational institution and the company agreed to develop a partnership in the field of education, science and innovation, which will open up new opportunities for joint initiatives.
The Veteran Garden project is not just a space for entrepreneurial activity. It is here that former military personnel acquire new skills and knowledge through a kind of “agri-therapy”.
At the meeting, WUNU's rector discussed the idea of expanding the project for the professional adaptation of combatants and cooperation within the framework of retraining and modernisation programmes for the university's educational programmes.
