During November 14-18, scientists of the Department of Information and Computing Systems and Management, undergraduate and graduate students majoring in "Computer Science" visited the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts (Germany) to participate in the annual International Winter School in the field of IT and a training week for teachers.

The stay in Germany included a training course "English as a medium of instruction", which was attended by teachers of various higher education institutions for whom English is a foreign language. The training is aimed at acquiring practical skills in working with students in English. During the training, the trainees improved the ability to manage a multilingual audience, learned how to successfully plan and implement educational programs in practice, plan and conduct interactive lectures, practical and laboratory classes, use various strategies to understand and support their oral and written skills, improve basic interpersonal and communication skills. The participants also had the opportunity to present their lectures and received valuable recommendations from the instructors of the training course.

As part of the work of the International Winter School, teachers and students joined the "Advanced Perspectives on Data Science" stream, which was based on the results of the "Virtual Master Cooperation Data Science" project funded by the DAAD. It covered the topics of Artificial Intelligence and Data Analysis, Business Analytics and Decision Making, Cloud Computing, Data Collection and Processing, and Machine Learning Operations (MLOps).
